The EU Parliament Employment Committee has exchanged views on the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) that, within the framework of the next long-term EU budget<\/a> (2021-2027), aims to further strengthen the Union\u2019s social dimension, serving as the EU\u2019s main financial instrument guiding investment in people and for the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights.<\/p>\n

With \u20ac 413 million, the ESF+ health strand will support public health policies to achieve the objective of ensuring a high level of health protection in the Union and is expected to complement other ESF+ actions in addressing the health challenges identified in the European Semester.<\/p>\n

For the EFN, it is crucial to ensure that health and social care, and the nursing workforce, are properly supported through the ESF+ to deliver positive health and social care outcomes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
