{"id":10693,"date":"2018-11-07T17:24:56","date_gmt":"2018-11-07T16:24:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.efnweb.be\/?p=10693"},"modified":"2018-11-07T17:24:56","modified_gmt":"2018-11-07T16:24:56","slug":"digitalisation-a-great-enabler-of-integrated-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=10693","title":{"rendered":"Digitalisation &#8211; a great enabler of integrated care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnsa.fr\/documentation\/programme_rencontres_nationales_maia_2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">9es rencontres nationales MAIA<\/a>, that took place today in Paris, was a great chance to exchange views on important topic, including integrated care.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In particular, Fran\u00e7ois Barri\u00e8re, representative of the French EFN Member <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anfiide.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Association Nationale Fran\u00e7aise des Infirmiers et Infirmi\u00e8res Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s ou Etudiants<\/a> (ANFIIDE), and the EFN Secretary General Paul De Raeve, presented the benefits of digitalisation on integrated care and nurses\u2019 roles, before an audience of more than 400 frontline workers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As demonstrated by the findings of the EU-funded thematic network <a href=\"http:\/\/www.efnweb.be\/?page_id=7060\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ENS4Care<\/a>, through eHealth it is possible to shift the focus towards person-centred care, enhance patient empowerment, and to ensure continuity of care across primary and secondary health and social care sectors. To this purpose, digitalisation such as blockchain technology should support nurses in continuity of care &#8211; essential care data needed and shared: what medication, what wound dressing, what mobility, which food, \u2026. Supporting the actions to deliver safe and high quality of care.
