{"id":12242,"date":"2020-02-17T11:50:24","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T10:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.efnweb.be\/?p=12242"},"modified":"2020-02-17T11:50:24","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T10:50:24","slug":"international-conference-on-history-of-nursing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=12242","title":{"rendered":"International Conference on History of Nursing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Organised by the Italian Nurses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnai.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Association<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/eahn.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Association<\/a> for the History of Nursing, in Florence, the city where Florence Nightingale\u2019s was born, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.florence2020.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conference<\/a> gathered nurses, historians, civil and political authorities from national &amp; EU level, to celebrate Florence Nightingale\u2019s Bicentennial discussing on the history of nursing, and highlighting current research across a wide field of endeavour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Invited as keynote speaker the EFN Secretary General <a href=\"https:\/\/efn.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/EFN-EU-Lobby-Priorities-Florence-Nihtingale-Legacy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stressed<\/a> the \u201cNursing History strengthened by EU Legislation\u201d and how still nowadays Florence Nightingale\u2019s work, as statistician and lobbyist, is still influencing EU politics with nursing data, and how most of her legacy is what EFN is still fighting for at the EU level today.
