{"id":15569,"date":"2023-01-23T12:23:16","date_gmt":"2023-01-23T10:23:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=15569"},"modified":"2023-01-23T12:24:59","modified_gmt":"2023-01-23T10:24:59","slug":"the-efn-member-of-eu-ehealth-stakeholder-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=15569","title":{"rendered":"The EFN Member of EU eHealth Stakeholder Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu\/en\/policies\/ehealth-experts\"><strong>eHealth Stakeholder Group<\/strong><\/a> is composed by organisations and associations with a European outreach. They&nbsp;represent: the health tech industry, patients, healthcare professionals and the research community. The group will provide advice and expertise to the <strong>Commission<\/strong>, particularly on topics set out in the Communication on enabling the <strong>digital transformation of health and care.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the <a href=\"https:\/\/health.ec.europa.eu\/ehealth-digital-health-and-care\/events_en\"><strong>eHealth Stakeholder Group Sixth Plenary Meeting<\/strong><\/a><strong>, <\/strong>the group has been presented the <strong>7 recommendations<\/strong> elaborated on the<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/health.ec.europa.eu\/ehealth-digital-health-and-care\/european-health-data-space_en\"><strong>European Health Data Space Regulation<\/strong><\/a><strong>, <\/strong>signed off by EFN and other European Stakeholders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>A broad range of stakeholders must be involved to guarantee the success of EHDS.<\/li><li>The EHDS must be align with all relevant horizontal and sectoral European laws.<\/li><li>There must be harmonised interpretation and implementation of Regulation across the EU.<\/li><li>Approvals for secondary use of health data must be consistent and harmonised across Europe.<\/li><li>The scope of EHR systems must be defined within the Regulation.<\/li><li>The successful implementation of the EHDS must be adequately resourced.<\/li><li>Existing health data infrastructures must be leveraged to allow continuity and build on existing expertise.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the <strong>key focus<\/strong> of this meeting has been the <strong>digital and green skills.<\/strong> In a constantly changing world, these are the new skills required to stay up-to-date and competitive on the changing job market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot is changing in the healthcare system &#8211; a real process of <strong>digitalisation and innovation<\/strong> &#8220;pushed&#8221; even more during the covid-19 pandemic. In this context, the <strong>engagement of nurses<\/strong> in the co-creation process is key for elaborating something really useful for the healthcare professionals and for the entire healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, another important aspect is that one to give new competences to nurses and all healthcare professionals for ensuring always high quality and continuity care.
