{"id":15852,"date":"2023-04-12T16:59:56","date_gmt":"2023-04-12T14:59:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=15852"},"modified":"2023-04-12T16:59:59","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T14:59:59","slug":"informal-wha76-pre-meeting-for-member-states-non-state-actors-and-secretariat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=15852","title":{"rendered":"Informal WHA76 pre-meeting for Member States, non-State actors and Secretariat"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>EFN participated to the first session of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news-room\/events\/detail\/2023\/04\/12\/default-calendar\/informal-wha76-pre-meeting-for-member-states-non-state-actors-in-official-relations-and-the-secretariat-2023\"><strong>the informal pre-meeting for Member States, non-State actors in official relations and the Secretariat<\/strong><\/a> organised by WHO according to what is indicated in the document <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.who.int\/gb\/ebwha\/pdf_files\/EB150\/B150_37-en.pdf\"><strong>EB150\/37<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the third edition of the informal meeting and its agenda is organised along the <strong>76th Health Assembly agenda:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Pillar 3:<\/strong> One billion more people enjoying better health and well-being \u2013 on <strong>12 April.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Pillar 1:<\/strong> One billion more people benefitting from universal health coverage &#8211; on <strong>24 April.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Pillar 2:<\/strong> One billion people better protected from health emergencies \u2013 on <strong>27 April<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Session<\/strong> for non-State actors and the Secretariat &#8211; <strong>on 2 May.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This <strong>first informal meeting<\/strong> focused on the <strong>promotion of health and well-being<\/strong> and on which <strong>actions<\/strong> have been implemented by WHO for reaching the goal, in these last years. Dr. Ruediger Krech, Director of Health Promotion Department at WHO, highlighted some key aspects and <strong>6 Strategic Directions<\/strong> for reaching societal well-being:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Nurture planet Earth and its ecosystems;<\/li><li>Design social protection and welfare systems;<\/li><li>Design and support equitable economies;<\/li><li>Promote universal health coverage;<\/li><li>Promote equitable digital system;<\/li><li>Measure and monitor well-being.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the context of promoting health and well-being the role of nurses is vital.
