By deploying an ICU dataspace infrastructure, the project aims to enhance access to and exploration of ICU databases across the EU, fostering technological, medical, and societal innovations. This initiative is a key part of Europe&#8217;s strategy to improve acute and intensive care, ensuring secure, interoperable, and efficient healthcare solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By leveraging data interoperability, artificial intelligence, and cross-border collaboration, the project will establish a&nbsp;unified framework&nbsp;for&nbsp;collecting, sharing, and analysing Intensive Care Unit (ICU)&nbsp;data. By bridging healthcare system gaps, it will enable real-time decision-making, optimise resource allocation, and accelerate advancements in critical care research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the work on the project is still in the initial phase, the EFN has until now contributed to ensuring that end-users needs and perspective are fully taken into account in the development of the first mock-up of the ICU data sharing platform that will be developed as final deliverable of the project (WP3).
