{"id":19506,"date":"2026-01-13T12:07:56","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T10:07:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=19506"},"modified":"2026-03-04T16:06:19","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T14:06:19","slug":"frontline-perspectives-and-emerging-solutions-for-strengthening-healthcare-workforce-well-being","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=19506","title":{"rendered":"Frontline Perspectives and Emerging Solutions for Strengthening Healthcare Workforce Well-Being"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>EFN has led the development of a new opinion paper, titled <a href=\"https:\/\/irispublishers.com\/ijnc\/pdf\/IJNC.MS.ID.000620.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Frontline Perspectives and Emerging Solutions for Strengthening Healthcare Workforce Well-Being<\/a>, which was published in the Iris Journal of Nursing &amp; Care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper brings together frontline perspectives from nursing leaders and post-graduate nurses, insights from <a href=\"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=19204\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EU policy developments<\/a>, and the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/iris.who.int\/items\/7324bf3d-479f-426c-bd5d-861129616859\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WHO Europe mental health findings<\/a>, to shed light on, and identify ways to tackle the growing challenges faced by healthcare professionals, including burnout, chronic stress, staff shortages, and psychosocial risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Importantly, the paper links these developments to the <a href=\"https:\/\/keepcaring.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KEEPCARING Project<\/a>, which brings together scientific, clinical, technological, and end-user partners to co-create practical, evidence-based tools that support mental well-being, organisational support, and psychological safety in hospital settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The publication therefore combines research, innovation, and direct engagement with healthcare professionals, to reinforce the need for coordinated action that goes beyond individual coping strategies and addresses structural and organisational conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the publication comes in the backdrop of the <a href=\"https:\/\/efn.eu\/?p=19459\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2026 Cyprus EU Presidency<\/a>, which puts mental health, including its link with digitalisation, high on it ambitious programme.
