The <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/internal_market\/qualifications\/policy_developments\/index_en.htm\">modernisation<\/a> of the Directive on professional qualifications is an important measure in our strategy to relaunch the European economy. In creating a more efficient system for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/news\/en\/pressroom\/content\/20130612IPR11615\/html\/Mutual-recognition-of-professional-qualifications-MEPs-strike-deal-with-Council\">recognition<\/a> of professional qualifications, it will contribute to dealing with the labour shortage in Europe and will come to the aid of highly qualified job seekers, in particular the young.
