EFN Members activities on IND2018

On the occasion of the International Nurses’ Day 2018 (IND2018), the EFN Members organised key events & activities at national level to raise awareness of the public and the decision-makers on nurses’ daily reality. See below a few examples:

Bulgaria – The Bulgarian nurses undertook an Industrial Action in Sofia calling their government for better working conditions. More information here. #BulgariannursesIndustrialAction

Finland – The Finnish Nurses Association invited the members of their parliament to visit different health care organizations to see nurses’ work in practice and to become nurses for one day. More information here.

FranceANFIIDE launched the outcomes of a survey undertaken on the topic “La santé est un droit humain (Health is a human right)”.

Norway – The Norwegian Nurses Organisation focused on nursing shortage & nurse retention.

Spain – The Spanish Council of Nursing launched a campaign called “Your nurse leaves a fingerprint”, with the message that a nurse always leaves a fingerprint/sign in the patient’s history and in families and carers lives.

UK – The Royal College of Nursing launched ‘This Nurse’ film to celebrate the modern and dynamic profession nursing is in 2018, and show all the amazing things nurses do, and organised a Congress in Belfast.
