On the 1st July 2019, Finland took over the rotatory presidency of the Council of the EU for six months, opening up a great opportunity for EU Health Stakeholders to act together and influence their political agenda.
Hence, the Patient Access Partnership (PACT) organised a multi-stakeholder event on 11 and 12 July in Brussels to discuss the EFN and other stakeholders – the public health community, industry and the European and member states policy makers and institutions. Altogether, we discussed how to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 in Europe, to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare for all citizens.
Speakers discussed a variety of topics of utmost importance for the nursing community, such as workforce planning and retention measures, the quality of care, and tackling health inequalities across the EU Member States.
