BeWell EU Project

by efn efn

The EU-funded BeWell Project, ending in June 2026, is entering into its final phase. This is an important phase of the project, where several key deliverables are coming together. The EFN has an active role in most of the WPs, and will play a key role for the project’s exploitation, including in the dissemination of results through its network (WP9).

Some key deliverables include the second version of the BeWell Skills Strategy being developed (Version 1 is    available here – in 9 languages). To do so, the project has been collecting data through an Open Public Consultation (Available in 9 languages), with the aim to engage and incorporate the views and opinions of health and care professionals, researchers and educators, patients and patient organisations, decision and policy makers and any other relevant stakeholders into the BeWell Skills Strategy being developed.

Another key deliverable is the BeWell Learning Platform, available on several languages, which offers training programs/courses (MOOCs) on digital & green skills for healthcare professionals, including the 2 EFN Courses on Digital Skills and on Green Skills. The Platform is being piloted, and the EFN MOOCs have received extensive interest by frontline healthcare professionals. The feedback received has been very positive, underlining the quality and helpfulness of the content for the daily work of frontline healthcare professionals.

For the project’s exploitation, a crucial role will be played by the multi-stakeholder partnership on health workforce upskilling and reskilling, which is now counting 54 signatories, including EFN, created through BeWell in the context of the Pact for Skills. Importantly, it will continue to support the twin transition to a green and digital economy, making EU health systems more competitive globally and enhancing Europe’s open strategic autonomy.
