The European Nursing Students Association (ENSA) elected five new board members (under a new structure with the 5 board members having equal rights, including one coordinator having an overview on all ENSA actions). The elected board members are: Margrete Schwarz Kanstad (also coordinator); Athanasios Tsingalis, Ina Siby, Meltem Yıldırım and Christopher Kesting. The new board, coming from Norway, Greece, Sweden, Turkey and Germany opted to work closely with the EFN to make nurses and nursing stronger in the EU. The EFN General Secretary, Paul De Raeve, present at their Annual General Meeting held in Istanbul, from 2 to 6 October 2013, experienced a strong, motivated, innovative and enjoyable nursing movement which he hopes will become the future political leaders in EFN and in the European Parliament. The EFN General Secretary therefore believes that more students should join ENSA, so that it covers at least one student from each EU Member State. It is important that we join forces and make the nurses voice stronger at EU level! On content, the EFN and ENSA will work on evidence based guidelines for ehealth services (ENS4Care EU project) in which the nursing students play a key role. Our future services depend on the new generation coming into the nursing profession.
