The EFN met today, 23 January, the European Commission DG Connect for the 1st review of its EU project ‘ENS4Care’, together with the project Work Packages leaders (Pat Hughes, from C3 Collaborating for Health, UK – Lead WP2: Prevention; Tine Lyngholm from the Danish Nurses’ Organisation – Lead WP3: Clinical Practice; Marianne Sipilä, EFN President, from Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences – Lead WP4: Integrated Care; Pamela Hussey from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation – Lead WP5: Nurse ePrescribing; and Dorota Kilansaka from the European Nursing Research Foundation – Lead WP7: Sustainability), as well as Marina Lupari (Expert). The objective of the meeting was to evaluate the ongoing developments of the project. As such the evaluators engaged in getting a clear view on the state of art and recommended to strengthen the dissemination. They also highly valued the work done and encouraged partners to write down all details of success. Lot of attention was given to the methodology deployed in ENS4care with the examiners encouraging making scientific publications, next to sharing the collected best practices although with the respect for data protection. Finally, the WP leaders gave a first taste of the first draft guidelines being developed, to be submitted by February 2015 to the Commission. Overall, ENS4care got positively evaluated.
