22 March 2016 – The EFN members express their deep personal sadness, and that of the entire nursing community, in the wake of today’s horrific attacks in Brussels, the capital of Europe where the EFN Office is located. It is clear the entire country is very distressed by the events, but all health staff, fireman/women and police have coordinated the evacuation at the Brussels’ Airport ‘Zaventem’ and the metro station ‘Maelbeek’ in a very effective way. And we are very grateful for that!
We earnestly hope we could turn back time and, therefore, our thoughts are with the families of the victims. All EFN members were concerned about our safety and you immediately feel the solidarity. It is this solidarity which needs to keep us strong!
