Nursing Now will be launched globally on 27 February 2018, with events taking place worldwide, including sessions in UK and Switzerland (livestreamed from 13:00-15:00 GMT), Jamaica, USA, South Africa and Jordan, among other countries, introducing global champions, hosting high-level decision makers and hearing from nurses working day to day with patients to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing nursing globally.

Based on the report ‘The Triple Impact of Nursing – how developing nursing will improve health, promote gender equality and support economic growth’ (2016) published by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health (APPG) following its review of nursing globally, and run in collaboration with the World Health Organization and International Council of Nurses, until the end of 2020, the Nursing Now Campaign aims to improve perceptions of nurses, enhance their influence and maximise their contributions to ensuring that everyone everywhere has access to health and healthcare.
